Geany is a lightweight IDE that is open source and cross-platform. Most basic editor features are available for Geany. Advanced editing features such as spell check are available as plug-ins.
The video begins by setting up the theme and appearance of Geany. Geany can use the native system theme, use a custom dark or light theme in including fonts.
The tutorial is broken up into four parts. The first part tests the tabbing features features of the Geany.
The second part tests basic editor features such as find and replace. The third part tests programming features such as creating non-project files. The final part consists of testing workflow features such as destruction-free editing.
