The full article describes linear gradients and shows examples of left to right, top to bottom and angled gradients. For the tutorial, Gimp is used to create a mock-up of a linear gradient using rectangular shapes. The rectangular shapes are re-created in css using proprietary “webkit” and “mozilla” specifications. Workarounds for other browsers will be provided in the radial gradients tutorial.
