Geany is a lightweight IDE that loads quickly. Geany comes with an optional project management feature. Each project can have project-specific build features.
The video begins by setting up a new project in Geany. Each project can have custom menu labels and commands such as run as web server.
The tutorial is broken up into four parts. The first part creates a new Geany project using the default properties.
The second part creates two PHP files. The third part edits the project settings and adds the PHP buit-in Web Server command. The final part consists of testing the execute command and viewing output in a web browser.
