The video begins by opening up a bitmap file in Gimp. Minimal file size may not have decent image quality.
The tutorial is broken up into four parts. The first part imports a bitmap PNG file into Gimp.
The second part selects the best compromise between file size and image quality usign the Save for Web plugin. The third part saves the file under a different name. The final part consists of comparing the original bitmap with the edited version in a file browser.
