Extra software that Apple iTunes installs

Apple iTunes does not come with an uninstall package. Instead, each of the five software applications must be uninstalled from the control panel separately. Apple iTunes installs software assuming that everyone owns an iPod, iPhone or iPad.

    Apple iTunes software packages:

  1. Apple Application Support.
  2. Apple Mobile Device Support.
  3. Apple Software Update
  4. Apple iTunes.
  5. Apple QuickTime.

Possible Solutions

Apple should provide a much easier way to submit podcasts to the iTunes store. Since I do not own any Apple products yet, I was forced to install software, give my personal information to Apple and was not successful in submitting the podcast. Apple can learn from Microsoft whose podcast submission process is online and easy. You simple click on “Submit a Podcast” at Zune podcast submission.

Conclusion:

Apple does not have an easy way to submit podcasts to the iTunes Store. A credit is required for people who do not wish to purchase anything from the iTunes store. Apple should copy Microsoft’s Zune podcast submission procedure by making the submission process online-based.

    Recommendations:

  1. Apple needs to update their podcast submission information.
  2. Apple ought to remove the credit card requirement for podcast submission.
  3. Apple should make the podcast submission process online like Microsoft’s Zune.
  4. Apple must ask the user if they want to install the extra software.
