GVim is a lightweight IDE that is open source and cross-platform. Most basic editor features are available for Gvim. Important advanced editor features such as font zoom require plug-ins.

The video begins by setting up the theme and appearance of GVim. GVim can use the native system theme, use a custom dark or light theme in including fonts.

The tutorial is broken up into four parts. The first part tests the tabbing features features of the GVim.

The second part tests basic editor features such as find and replace. The third part tests programming features such as creating non-project files. The final part consists of testing workflow features such as destruction-free editing.
